Biography
Dr. Yasuko Kasai (Doctor of Science) is a Professor at the School of Environment and Society, Department of Transdisciplinary Science and Engineering, Institute of Science Tokyo. She serves as Research Executive Director of the Terahertz Technology Research Center at the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), and as Senior Science and Technology Policy Fellow at the Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation Policy, Cabinet Office, Government of Japan. She is also a Guest Professor in the Doctoral and Master's Programs in Physics at the Graduate School of Pure and Applied Sciences, University of Tsukuba.
Professor Kasai is a pioneering researcher in atmospheric remote sensing using terahertz technology, leading multiple international space missions and contributing significantly to climate science and planetary exploration.
